A ‘literary’ cricket match and Write Stuff winners

The recent Guernsey Literary Festival was a great success and students from Elizabeth College enjoyed talks from a range of authors including Chris Riddell and Simon Singh. On the cricket pitch the Second XI took on the visiting ‘Author’s XI’ comprising of names such as Peter Frankopan, Tom Holland and Sebastian Faulks. The ‘Authors XI’ originally included a certain OE PG Wodehouse so it was fitting to see the current team in action at College Field.

As part of the Guernsey Literary Festival students were also encouraged to show off their own writing talents in the Writestuff young people’s writing competition. With prizes for Caspar Bailey, Francois Cloete, Owen Bonner-Morgan, Daniel Lilley and Charlie Stevens Elizabeth College were well represented!
