AI Talk wins Youth Speaks Competition

Elizabeth College’s senior team won this year’s Rotary Club Guernsey Youth Speaks competition. The winning speech, in the 13th year the competition has run, was entitled Trusting the Terminator, about the positives of a future reliance on artificial intelligence.

Both teams in the senior category (16-18 years) were from Elizabeth College and both teams put forward interesting speeches on thought-provoking topics. The winning team will go on to compete in the national round of the competition at Richard Taunton College in Southampton.
