Christmas is a particularly magical time in the school calendar at Elizabeth College Junior School. The Christmas concerts and nativity performances are always a really special occasion for parents to see the children getting into the festive spirit.

Pre-School got the Junior School underway, performing a selection of Christmas songs with classics including “Jingle Bells” and “Little Donkey”. Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 continued the festivities taking to the stage  in front of a packed hall at Acorn House, entertaining the audience with a humorous and musical tale ‘The Magical Christmas Tree’. Reception boogied to the ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ theme tune as the parents who were victorious in the ‘festive bauble competition’ hoisted their 10s in the air, shepherds were dressed as Elvis and some astounding flossing from the elves were just some of the many highlights for the audience to enjoy.

The performances are a great opportunity for the pupils to share the school’s values remembering to aim high, be kind and be brave. A big thank you to the teachers for staging such an entertaining selection of plays and a big well done to the children for getting us into the festive spirit so wonderfully!
