A Level Results 2018

Elizabeth College students have achieved very pleasing results at A level this year with 84% of grades at A* to C. There were some excellent individual successes with 11 students achieving three or more A*/A grade passes.

The vast majority of those students who applied to university have already had their places confirmed, including many who have successfully gained places to study at top Russell Group and other leading universities including Imperial College, Durham, Cardiff, Sheffield and Bath. A number of students have also secured employment in well-recognised professions on the island.

Principal Jenny Palmer says “I am really pleased with the A level results and the individual successes that many of our students have achieved, particularly as this is the first year of the return to a linear style of A level exam. This is a good set of results which reflects the comprehensive range of abilities at the College where a key focus is to encourage individuals to make the most of their skills, strengths and talents, whatever their background and capabilities.”

“Elizabeth College is proud to have been an integral part of the Bailiwick’s education system for many hundreds of years and we look forward to continuing to serve Guernsey by producing well-qualified, flexible and capable young people who will contribute positively to the life and economy of the island”.
