Children in Need 2017

Elizabeth College is delighted to announce that more than £3,000 was raised for Children in Need on Friday 17th November.

Elizabeth College Junior School pupils enjoyed their teachers being ‘brave’ entertaining them with an energetic dance routine at a surprise assembly! The Junior School also enjoyed wearing ‘bright’ clothes and the School Council and Year 6 Prefects running ‘spotty’ themed games and activities at break time.

At Elizabeth College Upper School the Charities Committee lead by Peter Brock had organised a collection of activities at break and lunchtime. The sponge throwing on the science lawn was as well attended as it was wet with teachers taking their soaking in very good spirits! The Committee held an auction in the school hall and mufti, as well as the sixth form BBQ cooking up bacon rolls and a dodgeball competition in the sports hall during lunch break.

Peter Brock, the Charities Committee Prefect commented:

“To have raised such a terrific amount shows how determined Elizabeth College pupils are to help those not as fortunate as ourselves. Children in Need is a really worthwhile cause that is close to home and which we all can relate to. Well done to the pupils and staff for their efforts and thank you to everybody who contributed to this total.”
