ECJS Beechwood’s Remembrance Day Tribute

Inspired by the stunning sea of red poppies at The Tower of London the children of Beechwood decided to create their own tribute to the 156 OE’s who died in the First and Second World Wars.

The children have crafted 156 poppies from clay and presented them as part of Elizabeth College Junior School’s Remembrance commemorations to mark 100 years since the outbreak of the First World War. It is both a beautiful and moving tribute and many cars have slowed on their journey along Queens Road to admire this wonderful sight.
