Yesterday’s assembly at Elizabeth College Junior School was led by the Guernsey Sports Commission. Ollie Dowding spoke to the children about the Games, Team Guernsey and also about Elizabeth College Year 13 pupil Alastair Chalmers and his achievements.
Pupils heard about Alastair’s success at the Junior Commonwealth Games and the events he is training for including the 400m hurdles and the 4 x 400m relay event. Alastair also participated in a jumping challenge with Will and Giulia from Year 6 and enjoyed a question and answer session on topics including:
“Do you like surfing?”
“How far can you run?”
