What a brilliant week at Elizabeth College Junior School. The children from Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 have enjoyed a jam-packed calendar of activities to celebrate Guernsey Week.
Despite the weather they have been getting outdoors discovering new places and experiencing new things, in a quest to learn more about our island home.
Visits have included the Fauxquets Valley Apple Orchard seeing first-hand the technology used in harvesting and tasting some locally made apple juice. There have been trips to iconic Guernsey locations including the Millennium Stone, Fort Grey and Victoria Tower as well as a dance class from the Guernsey Dancers and visits to museums including Candie and the Folk Museum at Sausmarez Park.
They have been busy! Phew, it’s almost half term and they can have a rest!
