Elizabeth College is not just about a great academic education. Students are encouraged to participate in the wider community and do their bit for others too. Last term was no exception, Year 11 student Adam Sparkes took part in the annual Youth Work conference as a member of the Youth Forum. All the young people taking part were brilliant ambassadors, despite their understandable nerves speaking in front of an audience that included off island visitors, youth workers and the Chief Minister. November saw staff and Sixth Form doing their bit to raise awareness of male cancer by growing their facial hair for MUG’s (Male Uprising Guernsey) ‘Beard Up’ campaign. Finally, pupils took part in fund raising for the annual Children in Need. ECJS pupils dressed up in black and white clothes and enjoyed a special breakfast with bacon rolls.
