Examination Results
The examination results at Elizabeth College reflect the hard work and commitment of our students. It is not just the top grades we celebrate: Elizabeth College has a student body with a broad ability range and it is equally pleasing to recognise the huge progress made, and great results achieved, by students across the spectrum.
It is important that Elizabeth College students achieve the very best they can and are therefore able to follow their own paths and dreams, whether that’s university, music college, art school, the armed forces or heading straight into employment on the island. We encourage all of our students to develop as happy, confident and successful individuals who can make a real difference in their respective fields around the world.
A LEVEL RESULTS
In 2025 Elizabeth College students achieved a superb set of A-level results this year: 14% of results were graded A*, more than a third graded A*/A and 78% of all grades are A*/C grades. Amongst the many individual successes there are three students who achieved A* grades in all four of their Alevel subjects and 17 students attained three or more A*/A grades. Many of this year’s students have secured places at leading UK universities including Oxford, Bath, Durham, Exeter and York. They will be studying a wide range of subjects including Archaeology and Anthropology, History, Mathematics, Mechanical Engineering, Music, Natural Sciences and Primary Education. Two students will be attending flight school, and one student is heading to America on a sporting scholarship. A number have also accepted positions locally with top employers in finance and other sectors, while others are preparing for mind-expanding gap year adventures.
GCSE RESULTS
Year 11 students achieved a very pleasing set of results in their GCSE examinations in 2025: with 43% graded 9 to 7 (A* to A equivalent) and 90% graded at 9 to 4 (equivalent to the old A* to C). Eleven students gained 8 or more passes at grades 9 to 7 (A*/A equivalent).
