Mia Staniforth, a Year 6 pupil from EJCS Beechwood, enjoyed a visit to the House of Lords recently. Following a visit to Guernsey by the First World War charity Never Such Innocence, Mia and other ECJS and Elizabeth College pupils were inspired to submit artwork and poetry into a national competition.
With over 16,000 entries from across the Commonwealth, Mia’s artwork was placed second overall. As part of the prize Mia was invited to collect her certificate at the House of Lords.
