Elizabeth College, founded in 1563 by Queen Elizabeth I, is a selective day school with a broad ability range located in St Peter Port in Guernsey. One of the earliest members of the Headmasters’ and Headmistresses’ Conference, it provides a challenging and highly stimulating academic and extra-curricular programme for children from 2 through to 18 years of age in a co-educational environment.
Younger children are well-served by the Elizabeth College Junior School (ECJS), which is located at two sites, joined by shared playing fields, half a mile away from the main Elizabeth College campus. ECJS at Acorn House includes our Pre-School and caters for children between the ages of 2 and 7. Older children move across to ECJS at Beechwood for children up to 11.
Elizabeth College Upper School will become co-educational from September 2021. The School offers a broad and innovative curriculum which has been designed to be tailored to individual needs. Beyond the classroom, there are extensive opportunities for all pupils to become involved in sport, music, drama, the CCF, the Duke of Edinburgh’s award scheme, trips and visits and a host of other activities. Our Sixth Form curriculum is delivered in partnership with our neighbouring school, The Ladies’ College. This gives students a very wide choice of A level courses and provides an excellent preparation for university and their future careers.
Elizabeth College is a participant in the Amazon EU Associates Programme. The Elizabeth College Foundation benefits from commission paid by Amazon on all purchases made using the link below.
